This morning we had our first doctor's appointment. We got to see the baby on the ultrasound and hear the heartbeat. The heartbeat was fast - 170 beats per minute. That could mean it's a girl, but who knows! I'll be happy either way as long as it's a healthy baby!
I was relieved to know that there really is a baby in there. At this point in the pregnancy, it's still hard to believe, so getting to actually see the baby helped to make it seem more real. The baby kind of even did a little head flip kind of thing while we were watching it...pretty cool! I had to give five vials of blood, but I was very brave! :)
Looking forward to sharing the news with the rest of our friends and family now (or at least after I take a little nap).
