Our little family :) |
Since Olivia was only two months old at Thanksgiving, everyone came here, which was really nice. Yosuke flew in from Seattle (and met Olivia for the first time), Sarah flew in from DC, and the Gosch's (minus Daniel) and my Grandma all drove in from Illinois. This was the first time that my aunt, uncle, grandma, and cousin got to meet Olivia as well. It would be an understatement to say that she was (and is) well-loved!

Yusaku's parents hosted Thanksgiving dinner, which worked out quite nicely since I don't think we would have been up for hosting this year and my parents' kitchen was in the final stages of being remodeled. Since Yusaku and I and our families have known each other for so long, it didn't seem the least bit strange to any of us to all eat Thanksgiving dinner at their house. A friend of mine, when asking about our Thanksgiving plans, was surprised to hear that everyone, including my extended family, would all go to their house. It struck me then that it probably does seem unusual to other people to do this and that we are very fortunate that everyone gets along so well. It's very natural and comfortable and I am grateful for that. Here are a few more pictures to enjoy!
