Last Visit with Grandma

Looking back at the pictures from my last post, it's hard to believe how good my grandma was looking as recently as Memorial Day Weekend. It's hard to believe that less than a month later, she passed away. My grandma passed away June 18th and while we weren't there the moment she died, we were able to get in one last visit to say goodbye. Here are few sweet pictures from that visit of Olivia with her Gram. :)

We got to Springfield June 14 and headed home the morning of the 16th. Just two days later she passed away and so we headed back to Springfield for the Memorial Service, which was that Thursday. I'm so glad to have been able to squeeze in so many visits in the last few months. It was great to see my Grandma and for her to be able to see us, especially Olivia. It was also very nice to see the rest of the family too. I was lucky to be able to have such a spunky, energetic grandmother in my life for as long as I did. I'm thankful the illness was short lived and she wasn't suffering for too long. We'll miss her for sure, but I'm glad she is at peace now. Luckily we have lots of pictures and good memories of her that will live on in our hearts.
