Cincinnati Zoo

When we woke up on Saturday morning and saw that it was going to be a beautiful and (slightly) cooler day than we had had for a long time, we decided it would be a great day to head to the zoo. We had been planning on going sometime this summer and yesterday was the perfect time to do it.

"Wook at that!"
There's a reason why it's called Cincinnati Zoo and Botanic Gardens. There are beautiful flowers everywhere. Here are a few more pictures I took of the awesome landscaping.

Despite a very short nap in the car and rising temperatures, Olivia had a blast at the zoo. My parents met us down there and we all had a great time. Here a few more pics from the trip.

Cincinnati Children's Museum

This past Friday, Yusaku suggested that maybe we could go down to the Cincinnati Children's Museum. We had been to the Cincinnati Museum Center before a long time ago, but not since Olivia had been born and never to the children's museum. So, we decided to be spontaneous and got to the museum right when it opened at 10. It turned out to be a wonderful spontaneous decision and I'm looking forward to going back. Here are some pictures from our visit.

This beautiful art deco building is a former train station that now
houses 3 museums, an IMAX theater, and an Amtrak station
Where's Waldo Olivia? Check out that beautiful mural.
It's made of about a bazillion little mosaic tiles.
Love that ceiling too!

Yay balls!

Olivia's Inuit friend :)

Despite the fact that the sari was about 10x bigger than her, she loved it!

She LOVED this baby too! She had to hug it really really hard!

A yummy grilled cheese sandwich in the beautiful lobby to finish off a great morning!

Wegerzyn Garden/Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day and Sarah's birthday (a little early) with dinner at Cooper's Deli.

The celebration continued the next morning with breakfast (prepared by Sarah and myself) at our house. My mom couldn't join us since she stayed back in Illinois to be with my grandma.

After a delicious breakfast, we headed to Wegerzyn Gardens. My dad and sister had never been there, so I was excited to show them what a great place it is.  Here are some of the photos from that trip. I took a ton of pictures, but narrowed it down to these to share. :)
