We took Olivia to see Cinderella at the Schuster - It was a great show!

After Cinderella, we headed to the Cincinnati to spend the night by the airport
and left in the middle of a major snowstorm. Good thing we were headed to Florida!

By the time we got back from Florida, the weather had warmed up quite a bit!

Florida Trip: Part 2

On the third day, we checked out a place called Rookery Bay Estuary. There was a little nature center, which we looked at before heading out on a little nature walk. We were hoping to see some wildlife but didn't see much besides tiny lizards.

After Rookery Bay, we headed to Tigertail Beach, which is known for good shell-hunting. We walked around the lagoon (see pic below) to the beach. While we didn't find any whole sand dollars, we did find pieces of some, which was still exciting! We found many other beautiful shells, including lots of little "ice cream cone shells" as the girls called them.

We followed up our shell-hunting with a delicious treat at Beebe's Ice Cream!

It was a nice trip, but as always, it's nice to go home!

Florida Trip: Part 1

We left blizzard-like weather behind in Ohio and headed to Marco Island, Florida for Olivia's Winter Break. While it wasn't incredibly hot in Florida, it was certainly warmer than home and we were happy for the reprieve.

gray and chilly weather on our first day

the fire dancer on the beach - the kids loved it!
It was a little warmer on our second day there and we decided to rent bikes. We rode to a neat little park and the kids got some time to play before we biked back.

Later that afternoon, we took a dolphin tour. It was a pontoon boat with just the four of us, a husband and wife, and the boat captain. We went through the bay and were lucky enough to see a ton of dolphins! It was truly an amazing experience! I've included a video below. Hopefully it will work.
