Summer Fun

On Saturday of Father's Day weekend, we headed over to PawPaw camp with my dad for a little "hiking" around.

On June 24, we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary...hard to believe! Here's a picture of us (plus Olivia) before we went out for dinner. We had a delicious meal at CoCo's along with some uninterrupted adult conversation, which is a rare occurrence these days. ;)

The last weekend in June, after a trip to Carriage Hill MetroPark, we decided to drive a little further down the road and check out Charleston Falls. We had never been before and it was pretty neat. There was a waterfall (albeit a small one) and Olivia and Yusaku even found a cave to explore.

On July 19, Yusaku took the day off work and we decided to head down to the Newport Aquarium. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Baby Shower

Today we had a very nice baby shower for Natalie hosted by my mom at her house. It was perfect! All my favorite people were there (except for Olivia and Yusaku and my dad, of course). We ate, visited, played some games, and I opened presents even though we told people they didn't have to bring any. I felt like one lucky, loved lady. :) Here are some pictures from the shower.

Fourth of July Indy/Fort Wayne Trip

The weekend of Fourth of July, we headed to Indianapolis and Fort Wayne for a quick trip with my parents. In Indy, we explored the Indianapolis Musuem of Art, which we had never been to before and was awesome. We'll definitely have to go back next time we're there. We spent most of our time exploring the grounds, which includes beautiful gardens, a mansion you can tour, and giant sculptures you can climb on. We had dinner with my parents and then headed up to our hotel room for a perfect private and fairly quiet viewing of the fireworks in our pj's. This is the first time we've let Olivia stay up to watch the fireworks. She enjoyed it! :) We capped off our trip with a quick stop to visit my Auntie Maureen and Uncle Clem in Fort Wayne. It's always nice to see them!
