April Zoo Trip

We love going to the Cincinnati Zoo, so a few weekends ago when one of Yusaku's friends from college asked to meet us for lunch near Ikea, we decided to squeeze in a trip to the zoo. Here are the pics from that trip.

April pictures from my phone

Just having dinner outside with her bunny ears on...
nothing weird about that
Relaxing and reading a little Peter Rabbit
Getting ready for gymnastics and giving me her famous "nutball" face

Olivia at Art Class...a fun new addition to our weekly schedule

We looked away for a second and found her like this.
She was pretty proud of herself.
Cheeseball with Daddy at Dewey's
Spring finally arrived

Got tired on a walk through the neighborhood and had to rest on someone's lawn
We took her to see Sesame Street Live - her first show and she loved it!

Waiting for the show to start

20 week ultrasound (a month late)

On March 28th, we had our 20 week ultrasound and were excited to find out we'll be having another little girl!!! We were also happy and relieved that everything seemed to look good with the baby.

Having a 2.5 half year old keeps me pretty busy and makes blogging on a regular basis a little challenging. For this reason, I've blogged very little about this pregnancy compared to my pregnancy with Olivia. I feel guilty about this but I hope our new little girl will understand I love her just as much even if I didn't write down every detail about my pregnancy with her. :)

Here are two of the best ultrasound pictures out of the four we got. Unfortunately, I don't feel like the 20 week ultrasound pictures this time around came out as good as they did last time. Here's Olivia's ultrasound pics. In the picture above, you can see a profile of her head and chest. In the picture below, you can see her little butt, apparently her "girl parts," and one of her legs.

We (meaning Yusaku) have reassembled the crib and moved it into the baby's room, along with the changing table/dresser, rocker, bookshelf, and Olivia's pink rug. That's about as much as that room can hold. Olivia's room got a "Big Girl" makeover. We painted her walls lavender and moved the white twin daybed into her room. She got new sheets, a new comforter, a new rug, and some new white curtains. What a lucky girl!

Next on the to-do list: touch up the paint in the baby's room/finish it and decide on a name for this baby. I have my next check-up coming up on May 6, a few days before leave for a quick vacation down to Florida. Between now and then, I have to do my glucose screening which means I have to drink nasty orange sugar water and go to a lab and have my blood drawn. Hoping I do a better job this time instead of just barely passing. :)

Easter 2013

The Saturday before Easter, we dyed Easter eggs with the whole family. Luckily, the weather was beautiful so we were able to dye them outside. We tried using Kool-Aid this year instead of our usual Paas Kit and it worked pretty well.

So sunny my dad had to make a newspaper hat :)

Later that afternoon, my mom, sister, and I headed to the Greene and treated ourselves to manis and pedis. We met up with my dad and Yusaku and Olivia for dinner afterwards.

Sunday morning when we woke up before going to Church, Olivia checked out what the Easter Bunny had brought her and found all the eggs he had hidden.

We met my family at church and came back to our house afterwards to have lunch together. Later that day, Yusaku's parents joined us at my parent's house and we all had a very nice dinner together. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any pictures of this but I'll see if I can find some from my mom's camera.

Ready to head to Church...recognize the dress from last Easter?
It still fits! :)

March Madness :)

Here are just a few pictures from my phone from this month.

Ironically, the day we got back from North Carolina, it was
warmer here than it was the whole time we were there.
Yusaku and Olivia planted some grass seed.

I've been quite the delinquent blogger lately. Just now posting about March and April is almost over. Oh well...better late than never, right?

Some highlights from March:

  • our trip to North Carolina
  • finding out we're having ANOTHER GIRL!
  • celebrating Easter/spending time with Sarah
Will post more about Easter and the new baby next!
